So it turns out AMDs 3900x CPU has a great Raptoreum Hashrate and is wanted for more then just Gaming and workstation use. Crypto miners are buying it up for what is called CPU Mining much like GPU Mining but with a CPU well duh. As some of you may know Bitcoin was first mined by CPUs before it was figured out GPUs could do it better then finally to what Bitcoin is today dominated by ASIC machines. Now with such coins as Monero (XMR) being one of the most popular but very CPU demanding and with a high hashrate comes high difficulty putting the probability down.
Now as Crypto has matured more and more coins are coming out and some of these are using Algorithms that are primary made for the use of CPUs and one of these such coins is Raptoreum. While the price of RTM is currently low as of today it sits at 0.00127 USD now that may not seem like much but one of these CPUs on average do about 2.68KH which results in about 1500-2000 RTM coins per day that’s $1.90-$2.54 per day now that’s not to bad and what power cost though? Looks like if tuning these CPUs accordingly they use only 97w.
If RTM manages to make its way up the ladder once it ads on its smart contracts what could happen if we see RTM hit $0.01 or possibly $1.00 then we are talking some big money. Of coarse you must consider difficulty as more hashrate gets put on a coin the difficulty goes up as well making the miners receive less coins then previously one such problem which the GPU mining world will see once Ethereum moves from proof of work over to proof of stake. Miners will be swapping there GPUs to the other coins and with the hashrate influx the other coins may not handle it without a massive boost in price and GPUs could then end up on the used market causing serious issues for companies like Nvidia. CPUs will not be affected by this surge so unless everyone swaps out there GPUs for CPUs they may end up becoming more profitable then GPUs by early 2022 only time will tell.
